Families connected to Beetham (HARRISON)

 

The church of Beetham is St Michael and All Angels Church dates back to Norman Times. In the late 1800's the church served a large parish that included Arnside, Witherslack, Meathorp and Ulpha.

 

Another prominent building is Beetham Hall, a 14th Century Fortified Manor where John Harrison born 1786 farmed from before 1841 until after 1861.
