Farmer was born on 1st April 1849 (1) and baptised 29 Apr 1849 (4) in Upton Snodsbury, Worcestershire

Farmer married Jane Stanley on 30 Aug 1875 (2) in Birmingham.Witnesses to the marriage were Thomas Wakeman and Fanny Ingram.
Jane Stanley was baptised on 17 Mar 1856 (4) in Beaudesert, Warwickshire. Her parents are William Izod Stanley and Sarah Wigeon.
On the back of the photographs it reads to Alfred William with love from Grandma 1908
Farmer was a Carpenter and Joiner. He and Jane had a large family of 11 children. It was strange that from the time Farmer was about 1 year old he did not seem to live with his parents. He lived with his Grandmother and then his Uncle Edward before he married and settled down with Jane and their family in Wooten Wawen, Warwickshire, and finally moved to Henley in Arden.

The family lived at Filbert House, Henley in Arden. This is an early photograph kindly sent to me by John and Val Hewlett. It is believed that the lady at the gate is Jane. We do not know who the little boy is. Filbert House still exists today but is now a Restaurant
Farmer died on 1 Apr 1921 (5) aged 72. Jane died on 27 Apr 1930 (5) aged 74, they were still living at Filbert House. They are buried in Beaudesert Churchyard but there is no headstone.
