Quainton is a village in Buckinghamshire about 5 miles north west of Aylesbury. It was formely known as Quainton Malet. The village name in old english means Queen's estate. Malet refers to the Malet family who were Lords of the Manor from 1066 until approx 1340.

The Parish Church is St Mary and the Holy Cross, a 14th Century building with a later 15th Century West Tower. Victorian renovations were carried out by William White.
